  • Minimize intake of Salt: when you minimize intake of common salt; you are working on decreasing the frequency of irregular heartbeats.
  • Focus on pepper and other low- or no-sodium spices to add flavour
  • Balance energy intake with the energy consumption: Your energy intake should be according to your daily activity level and daily consumption of energies. Extra intake will ultimately deposit in your body in the form of fats which will have negative effect on heartbeat rhythm.
  • Take proper quantity of fats in your diet: You should be aware that you are fulfilling the basic requirements of fats for your body. It should not be like that you are just avoiding all the fats. Fats are also required for smooth working of heart.
  • Beware of fad diets: Fad diets are harmful for everyone as these never fulfil the requirements of the body for all essential nutrients. For an arrhythmic fellow fad diets are much more disturbing. Your diet should be balanced wholesome one. Take small and frequent meals and totally avoid large heavy meals.
  • Limit daily Iron consumption: Too much iron increases the chances of atherosclerosis which might induce arrhythmia.
  • Take enough fibrous foods: Fibres are an essential part of the meals. You should always take whole grains instead of refined grains.
  • Eat plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables
  • Add some nuts especially almond, walnuts and seeds in your daily intakes.

  • Minimize alcohol in all forms: Alcohol excites the heart un-necessarily which might induce or aggravate arrhythmia. Alcohol can directly injure the heart muscles and cause irregular heartbeats.
  • Minimize Caffeine intake: Caffeine stimulates the heart which increases the heart rate and it can trigger Arrhythmia.
  • Find ways to reduce the amount of stress in your life: 10 minutes of meditation and breathing exercises per day to reduce stress levels will be of great help to reduce the stress.
  • Avoid stimulant medications, such as medications found in over-the-counter treatments for colds and nasal congestion.
  • Continuously increase your physical activity; at the same time you should be aware that you are not fatigued with your physical activities.
  • Quit smoking.
  • Manage Sudden Loss of Control: arrhythmia might cause lose of control without warning, avoid situations that require constant alertness, such as driving. For your sake and the safety of others, do not operate motor vehicles or dangerous equipment until the risk of losing control has been resolved. Avoid working or even being in dangerous places, such as ladders, rooftops, trees, cliffs, etc.
