Menu For Obesity

Generally, it is thought that to have the list of favorable and unfavorable foods and calories is enough to reduce the body weight, but truth is it that- untill unless you are not sure how to plan the daily diet and program the day, you cannot loose weight easily. To guide you here is the daily menu for you to follow and if you follow the same menu for a week or so, you will be able to spin the scale going down!

Mixed diet

Vegetarian diet

Tea, 1 cup with milk, * 2 tablespoons and sugar,** 1 teaspoon

Tea, 1 cup with milk, * 2 tablespoons: and sugar, ** 1 teaspoon

Breakfast

Eggs, 2 half-boiled or poached or scrambled in mild* Toast, 1 orange or grape fruit

Skimmed milk,* 1 cup toast, 1 or khakhra,
2 sweet lime

Lunch

Meat soup, 1 cup
Boiled fish or roast mutton
Vegetable salad from radish, tomato,
Cucumber, lettuce with dressing of vinegar,
Pepper and sour lime Cooked French beans
Bread, 1 slice or chapattis,
2 Papaya, ½ or pear, 1
One glass of water with honey to be sipped with the meal.

Mixed vegetable or cucumber and celery soup, 1 cup thin dal, ¾ cup or curd chudi vegetable salad from radish, romato, cucumber, lettuce with dressing of vinegar, pepper, and sour lime
Cooked pumpkin or steamed lady’s fingers
Bread, 2 slices or chapattis, 2
Custard apple
One glass of water with honey to be sipped with the meal.

4.00 PM

Tea with 2 tablespoons milk,*
And 1 teaspoon sugar**

Tea with 2 tablespoons milk,*
And 1 teaspoon sugar**

6.00 PM

Apple 1

Orange

Dinner

Chicken soup, 1 cup or cold consommé
Chicken roast or grilled fish
Cooked brinjals or boiled cabbage
Bread, 1 slice or chapattis, 2
Brown custard or crushed strawberries
Prepared with the remainder of ration of milk*
And sugar**

Tomato soup, 1 cup Skimmed milk, * curd, ½ cup Cooked carrots or spiced stuffed steam cauliflower
Thin dal, ¾ cup
Bread, 1 slice or chapattis,2
Ice cream prepared form remainder of ration of milk* and sugar ** or baked apple

Before Retiring

* Milks, skimmed (cow’s or buffalo’s), 1 cup
** Sugar, 3 teaspoons

* Milk, skimmed (cow’s or buffalo’s), 2 cups
** sugar, 3 teaspoon

  • Don’t take water just before or just after meals
  • Avoid taking too much food at a time
  • If you have skipped the meal due to some reason please take hot water or Weight Loss tea.
